Yoga for Healthy Hips

As women, the only thoughts we have about our hips include “my love handles are too big”, “my hips look weird in this skirt” and “can someone help me get rid of this excess fat?” But, have we ever given second thought to the health of our hips?

Our hips contain 17 muscles and not taking proper care of those muscles can result in numerous health issues such as back pain and poor balance just to name a few. What can we do to make sure our hips are that the top of their health? Do yoga!

Check out this link for some amazing yet simple yoga poses to work your hip muscles and increase their range of motion! You’ll be happy you did! And your hips will thank you!

Tricks For Dealing With Oily Hair

I know this is kinda a nasty post, but I am a sufferer of oily hair and I’m sure there are a lot of you that suffer from it as well. I’m just plain sick and tired of only getting one day of great-looking hair from a shampoo. If you have extremely thick and wavy hair, washing it adds another 15 minutes to your shower routine. So, I like to be able to go at least a few extra days without it looking shiny. I researched products online and found these that are supposed to do wonders for your hair. I plan on buying one, if not all three tonight!

TRESemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo Spray

This one looks too amazing NOT to try!

The Formulation: This Dry Shampoo, with mineral clay and citrus, revives your fine, limp hair by removing excess oil and impurities and helping eliminate odor, leaving hair rejuvenated. The Effect: Just a quick spray at the roots and this weightless, fine mist will revitalize and refresh your hair without any visible residue for hair that is full of movement.

Suave Daily Clarifying Shampoo, Normal to Oily Hair

Here’s a very inexpensive one!

Bring out the natural beauty of your hair with this pH-balanced deep cleansing formula that helps remove residue without stripping moisture.

    • Longer lasting fragrance*
    • For normal to oily hair
    • Hypo-allergenic
Neutrogena Anti-Residue Shampoo

Another very inexpensive option

Use this once-a-week shampoo treatment to instantly remove residue that can cause bad hair days. Then go back to your favorite shampoo and you’ll find it working better than ever.

    • Cleans hair thoroughly, easily rinses clean
    • Mild formula won’t cause irritation
    • For all hair types
    • Contains biodegradable ingredients

Sick Days

My dear readers,

I am so very sorry to keep you patiently waiting for my next interesting post. Sad to say, I’ve been battling the flu since last Friday and have recently felt as if a car had hit me. Over-the-counter meds didn’t do anything and swallowing was becoming pretty painful. Today I went to the doctor, was told I had bronchitis, and was given a prescription for Zithromax. This stuff supposedly is fast-acting and I only take pills once a day for 5 days! As I type this I can already feel my sore throat lessening. I will soon be back at my computer sending beautiful thoughts your way!!
