I just had to post this too cute photo of my little pig, Miss Ellie! She’s about two years old and brings so many little happy times to my life!
It’s hard to hold onto hope, especially in this world full of despair, killing and uncertainty. But, it’s the only thing that we can pretty much hold onto–the one thing that can always be present if we let it.
I’m going through a rough time right now, and the next six months will prove to be trying and just plain hard. But I keep telling myself that I have a choice as to how I choose to live these coming days. I can choose to be depressed and discouraged or I can choose to be hopeful and perseverant. We all have this choice to make in our lives. Make sure you choose hope. In this, you will be victorious.
“The world is indeed full of peril, and in it there are many dark places; but still there is much that is fair, and though in all lands love is now mingled with grief, it grows perhaps the greater.” – J.R.R. Tolkien, The Two Towers
Today, I decided to chop off my shoulder-length locks! I went for it! My hair is so incredibly thick (thanks, Papa!) and it was just getting hard to manage. I am totally loving it, and have been telling everyone I feel like a bobblehead. Hahaha!
Valentines Day… oops, I thought since it’s Valentine’s Day and all that I should change up my font color! Voila! Did that make your heart a little more happy? Hope so! So, as I was saying…Valentine’s Day. The holiday of love–for some, that is. I’m fortunate enough to not be spending it alone, but I am writing this post not only for those who have beaus but also for those who don’t. If you’re a gal that is heartbroken that you don’t have a guy this holiday, use the time to do things for YOU!! Love YOURSELF! Or, in the words of Tom Haverford and Donna Meagle from Parks and Recreation, TREAT YOSELF!!!
My friend, Sara Patino, who’s also the artisan of the fabulous jewelry collection, Sara Patino Jewelry, has just the perfect remedy! Sometimes I get so down about my life–where is it going? what will I be doing 5 years from now? am I really worth it? Those questions haunt me, usually at the end of the day. If you find yourself feeling hopeless, just remember what Anne of Green Gables said. 🙂
I just got back from working the runway at Plaza Frontenac during the Live Fit Expo! I modeled yoga wear from Athleta and strutted my stuff on the runway! Hair and makeup was done by Metro Design.
Guys! I am so so so sorry for not writing until now–more than a week since my last post! I have been busy this past week at work being trained in the world of customer service! This is the job in which I’ve been a secretary for about 5 months. I’m so hyped, but it means less time on the computer and therefore less time to create posts!
Saturdays in my life currently revolve around cleaning the house and the easiest way for me to get through the dusting and vacuuming is listening to jams on my phone. I’d like to share with you what’s on my playlist today:

Whenever we get a huge snow, my family and I always like to make Snow Cream! There’s nothing like putting fluffy whiteness into your mouth, flavored with chocolate! Here’s the recipe–along with pictures–for Snow Cream! Photos courtesy of my mama!
